ERAE Volume 40  number 4, dated September 2013, has been published. Subscribers found a thick copy in their post box: a special issue edited by Roberto Esposti and Franco Sotte on Evaluating the Effectiveness of Agricultural and Rural Policies. Papers first presented at the 122th EAAE Seminar in Ancona. Enjoy!

New impact factors have been released for the ERAE. The trend is upwards, to 1.854 (2-years average) and 2.0 for the 5 years average.

Number 3 of vol. 40 (July) available

OUP has published a new issue of the European Review of Agricultural Economics. Vol. 40 Number 3 (July 2013) has been received by the subscribers. It contains papers on quality labels, crop diversity, disinvestment decisions, decoupled payments and the role of stocks in price fluctuations. As well as some book reviews.

Emmanuelle Chevassus-Lozza and Karine Latouche have been awardied the Outstanding ERAE Journal Article Award 2012 for their paper entitled Firms, markets and trade costs: access of French exporters to European agri-food markets, European Review of Agricultural Economics 39: 257-288. Yearly meeting EAAEP Foundation

The Board of the EAAEP Foundation will meet on Wednesday May 29 in Leuven (B). At the same day it will also meet with OUP and the Editors. The meetings coincide with the EAAE PhD workshop afterwards.

New book editor

Miranda Meuwissen (Wageningen University) will take over as book editor from Bruno Henry de Frahan (Catholic University de Louvain, Belgium). The EAAEP Foundation thanks Bruno for all his work and wishes Miranda success with her book editorship.

Based on a nomination by the current editors, who consulted the editorial board, and after consultation of the publisher OUP, the Foundation has appointed Giannis Karagiannis  as an editor, starting September 1, 2013.
